The application can only be run from an operating system where SharePoint 2010 is installed:

There are no language packs officially released for RTM, but after release the following language packs will be tested:

- 1030, Danish
- 1031, German

- 1046, Portuguese Brazilian
- 1049, Russian
- 1053, Swedish
- 2070, Portuguese
- 3082, Spanish
Accounts
The application creates site collections, sites, pages as well as lists. In order to do so the application has to be run with an administration account meeting the following requirements:
- dbcreator and securityadmin roles in SQL Server
- Member of the administrators group on every server SharePoint 2010 is installed and you intend to run the application
- Member of the farm administrators group in Central Administration
Usually the setup administrator or farm service account meet the requirements. If you setup your SharePoint farm using Microsoft Best Practices then you meet the requirements if nothing is broken.
