What's that? Developing SharePoint isn't just starting Visual Studio and typing some lines. You need knowledge about Active Directory, NTLM, Kerberos, Virtual PC and server architecture. Of course it's almost impossible to become a pro in every category, but it helps a lot to know more than basics. For me it's important to know why my network adapter can't connect in my Virtual PC image or why I get an access denied error when I want to access a data source on a server which is more than 2 hops away. So for me an efficient working environment needs:
- Knowledge in order to keep everything working so I can use my time to develop solutions.
- Tools which do the work for me.
