I can't say why but it's not working. Although I have the Windows Service running (the German version as you can see in the image).

The SNotes Single Sign On service running in german.

And I have configured Notes to accept my operating system credentials.

Setting the Lotus Notes properties to use my system login for single sign on.

Maybe it's the German service running in the background or the 64bit operating system. If I have figured out I will post a solution. If someone knows please write a comment.

Gruss
Andreas

Unable to get many notes features on Server 2k8 R2...
...until installing Notes 8.5.1!
Now all - including single sign on - works as it should.

Supported OS are currently:

Windows XP (Version 8.5.1)
Windows Vista (Version 8.5.1)
Windows 7 (Version 8.5.1 FP1)

like written here:
Lotus Notes 8.5.1 - Detailed system requirements
www-01.ibm.com/.../docview.wss%20System_R

So there is no support to install the Lotus Notes Client on a Server OS. Why is the client installed on a Server? Whats the benefit from it?!?!

Hi Bernd,

yes there is usually no reason to install the client on the server...

I'm using Windows Server 2008 as the operating system on my laptop with the Hyper-V role enabled to virtualize my SharePoint development environment. Since my company is using Lotus Notes for mail I have to install it on my operating system too. There are a few applications within Notes I can't use without the client.

Regards,
Andreas
